The Divine Marriage

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

by David Nova

In the beginning, if there was a beginning, before time, before the formation of the universe, before light and dark, there was only One. One consciousness. One infinite mind. One self-sustaining singularity. One eternal state. One cosmic Being. One Infinite Creator.

Before creation, before the existence of anything, was this eternal Being dreaming in a state of dormancy, asleep? Did God awaken to self-consciousness? Was God always, forever awake? We can not know.

28.1 Ra: The one undifferentiated intelligent infinity, unpolarized, full and whole, is the macrocosm of the mystery-clad being. We are messengers of the Law of One. Unity, at this approximation of understanding, cannot be specified by any physics but only be activated or potentiated intelligent infinity due to the catalyst of free will. This may be difficult to accept. However, the understandings we have to share begin and end in mystery.

“I am that I am,” God said.

In speaking thus, God realized that God was alone, and so God imagined another. God created. From the One came another, like cellular division, God multiplied and there were two. And for a very, very long time there were just two eternal beings, the Lover and the Beloved, the divine marriage.

Each one of us, at the core of our soul, in the very spark of our spirit, are connected to these first eternal lovers. It is the flame within that never dies, the foundation of our intensely intimate and personal spiritual connection, the wellspring of divine love that we experience.

Just as each one of us is an aspect of the One Infinite Creator, each one of us shares in this aspect of the Divine Marriage. This is not about human sex, human gender, or human marriage. This is about our intimate, individual, personal relationship with Source God.

The gift of this spiritual aspect is that we are not in some remote, formal, unemotional, intellectual, impartial, neutral, objective relationship with God Source. We are ultimately meant to have a deeply passionate, deeply personal, deeply emotional, deeply spiritual relationship with God Source, where we are once again “the beloved.”

Be it soul mates, twin flames, partners, parents, or lovers, we deeply resonate with the intimate archetype of the divine marriage. This singular bond is a part of our spiritual DNA. It can never be extinguished, yet the flame can dim. We become restless to create, to expand, to explore, to share. Cells divide. One spark of God becomes two. Two sparks become four. Four sparks become sixteen. And so on until the heavenly realm is fully potentiated, fully populated.

The result of creation is expansion. Elder souls divide and multiply into soul families like the branches of a cosmic tree. Branches beget more branches, beget more branches, yet all are connected to the life-giving-source, the trunk of the tree.

We are distant branches that have forgotten that we are connected to the tree. We’ve forgotten our intimate relationship to the tree. We’ve forgotten how to reconnect to what is already connected. And so we feel alone.
